Day 2 & 3: Cat & Cow Pose

Hi All,

I am having issues with downloading my videos on the blog, so today’s videos will be on my Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/theresilientyogi)
Our focus for today is Cat & Cow Pose.
The Sanskrit for Cat Pose is Marjariyasana & Cow Pose is Bitilasana
The inhale is the inhale pose (your back arched up); while the exhale is you roll out of I absolutely the combination of the two and I probably use them in almost every one of my practices. Its just so soothing and its a great warm up for the start of your practice. Now, I know in my videos that aren’t the best stretches because my shoulders are a little tighter than normal which brings me to my next point: this is not a great if you’ve suffered neck injuries. Great modifications behind it can be standing with a bend in your knees, and your hands on your knees. My preference out of the modifications though is practicing cat/cow when sitting with hands on your knees. I think it gives a deeper affect and you can get deeper into the pose. Just make sure you start off with a neutral back (table top) and enjoy!

  1. Love the details and how you were able to find more about your pose from video. I came here from your Ig.
