Day 8: Reverse Warrior

The Sanskrit is a mouthful this time around: Viparita Virabhadrasana. I absolutely love this pose. It’s very opening but soothing at the same time. I love the warrior poses because they all really build up on each other. Your legs and feet will feel a sense of familiarity because it’s just like Warrior I & II. However, you are going to be opening up your chest by placing your back hand on your back calf (right leg with right hand, and vice versa). Make sure you engage with this pose on both sides of the body (just like you have been with all of the warrior poses). Last but not least, the modification is simply going to be putting your foot next to wall to help create balance for yourself. Tomorrow, we’ll be changing it up a bit but then back to a warrior pose for Mother’s Day. Enjoy!
